Shia LaBeouf Feels Paparazzi Has Ruined Hollywood

Troubled star Shia LaBeouf has lashed out at the paparazzi, feeling that their violation of privacy has destroyed the mystery of Hollywood, WENN reports.

The Transformers star was in a car crash this past Sunday, and paparazzi leeched the situation from the first minute. LaBeouf, who was hospitalized and is now facing drinking and driving charges, feels that the press need to lay off not only him, but stars in general.

He has theorized that every time he sets foot into the world, he feels like he may as well be in a movie. “You learn that the show starts when you open your door; the show stops when you close your door and you’re always on.” Read the rest of this entry»

Shia LaBeouf Cleans Up His Act

Posted by admin on July 29th, 2008 | Comments (3)

Soon before Shia LaBeouf’s latest brush with the law, writer Peter Rubin sat down with the young star to discuss his rise to fame, his partying habits—and his past problems. The full story appears in the September 2008 issue of Details (on newsstands Monday, August 5th), and an extended version of the interview will be posted here tomorrow (Wednesday, July 30). Below is an exclusive preview:

The script rarely gets away from LaBeouf. It got away from him in Chicago last November, when a late-night nicotine jones ended in that trespassing charge. (”It was two hotheads,” he says, “one completely in the wrong, one who wasn’t enjoying his job that night, going at it about minuscule bullshit.”) And the glee with which the mainstream news media, itching for a YOUNG ACTOR FLAMES OUT headline, seized on it led to the end of one of his and his father’s longtime bonding rituals. “We would drink together and smoke together,” LaBeouf says, “and it’s just a bad deal. It’s not something that is conducive to being a role model—no iconic actors that I know of have problems like that. And I don’t know how to do it like a gentleman. I don’t know how to have one drink.”

Check back here tomorrow for an extended version of Details’ cover story on Hollywood’s baddest boy.

Authorities: LaBeouf not at fault for wreck

Posted by admin on July 29th, 2008 | Comments (0)

Shia LaBeouf was not to blame for an early-morning car wreck in Los Angeles, authorities said Tuesday, pinning fault on the other driver for apparently running a red light.

Also Tuesday, a person close to production of the “Transformers” sequel said LaBeouf’s passenger in the accident was Isabel Lucas, the 23-year-old Australian who plays a supporting role. The person asked not to be named because he was not authorized to release the information.

Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore says detectives have determined that the other driver, who has not been identified, ran the light and will also be cited. LaBeouf was booked for a misdemeanor DUI and underwent surgery for injuries to his left hand. Read the rest of this entry»

LaBeouf’s Mom Talks: Shia’s “Fine”

Shia LaBeouf’s mother wants the world to know: The kid is all right.

In recovery, but all right.

Shayna LaBeouf told E! News that her 22-year-old action-star son remains at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after undergoing “extensive hand surgery” in the wake of his truck-flipping, DUI-inurring car crash.

“I’m at the hospital right now, he’s doing fine,” said Shayna, who has been keeping watch over her son since his wreck in the wee hours of Sunday. Read the rest of this entry»

Witness to the accident steps forward

An eyewitness has come forward with new details surrounding Shia LaBeouf’s car crash on Sunday, including allegations that at least one person suggested the actor leave the scene of the incident.

Brian Perrulli was heading home from work in the early hours of Sunday morning, when he came across the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Fountain and La Brea in Los Angeles. After pulling over to try and help out, Perrulli said he overheard a man, who had been in the vehicle LaBeouf hit, telling the actor to flee the accident scene.

“Shia was tending to the other people in the car, signing over information, like insurance and stuff and basically, I overheard the guy tell him, ‘You should just get out of here and go,’ and Shia said, ‘Nah man. I gotta deal with this. My license plate, it’s my car. I don’t wanna go, I gotta deal with this.’”

Transformers 2 Costar Along for Shia’s Rough Ride

Posted by admin on July 29th, 2008 | Comments (0)

Isabel Lucas may have earned herself a slave for life on the Transformers 2 set.

Sources tell E! News that it was Shia LaBeouf’s Australian costar who was riding in the actor’s truck when he had his early morning DUI crash on Sunday.

Authorities said yesterday that neither LaBeouf’s then-unidentified female passenger nor the driver of the car he hit was seriously hurt. All three involved were taken to the hospital, where the women were treated for minor injuries and later released.

Lucas, 23, who lately has been spotted on the arm of Entourage star Adrian Grenier, was already back on the set of the Michael Bay-directed Transformers 2 today, a rep for Paramount Pictures told E! News. Read the rest of this entry»

‘Transformers 2′ Star Tyrese Gibson Doubts Shia LaBeouf’s Injury Will Delay Filming

Posted by admin on July 28th, 2008 | Comments (0)

Shia LaBeouf is currently recovering at Cedars-Sinai Hospital from extensive hand surgery, as well as injuries to his knee and head caused by a car accident in Hollywood on Sunday morning, but the “Indiana Jones” star won’t be getting any sympathy cards from his “Transformers” co-star Tyrese Gibson, who downplayed the incident when MTV News caught up with him on Sunday at Comic-Con.

Asked if there were any contingency plans in place given the early word that LaBeouf might be in the hospital upwards of a month, Gibson scoffed: “A month? He won’t be in the hospital for a month. He just hurt his hand. He can afford a private nurse.”

“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” had a buffer window built into its hectic shooting schedule early on, given fears of a possible SAG strike last month. Whether that buffer will be used to accommodate LaBeouf’s potential absence is unknown, but for now, production is moving full steam ahead, Gibson said. Read the rest of this entry»

Shia LaBeouf is nursing his wounds in a Los Angeles hospital today, the result of an early morning car crash that left him with a messed-up hand and a DUI count on his rap sheet.

L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision at around 2:30 a.m., officials confirm to E! News. LaBeouf was allegedly making a left turn when his vehicle struck another.

The 22-year-old star of Indiana Jones and Transformers star sustained injuries to his left hand, which will require surgery, a sheriff’s sergeant said. The female passenger in LaBeouf’s car and the woman driving the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
